  • What is a Social Enterprise?
    An organization that is directly involved in the sale of goods and services to a market, but that also has specific social objectives that serve as its primary purpose. Social enterprises are not volunteer organizations in that they operate as an enterprise by selling in a market, and can be registered as for-profit or non-profit. Profits are principally used to fund social programs.
  • Is there a GPA Requirement?
    We recommend a 3.0 GPA. However, we look at the entirety of your application. The most important are your short response answers because it will give us a clearer picture of who you are and what you are passionate about.
  • What does Net Impact UCLA look for in an applicant?
    We are looking for a diverse group of highly motivated individuals who are results-driven, eager to learn about the social enterprise industry, and have the ability to work in teams.
  • What can I expect as a member of this club?
    Net Impact offers a variety of resources and workshops that will help grow your interest in starting a career in social enterprises while sharpening your consulting skills and acumen. Also, working on projects will expand your knowledge in market research, conducting financial analysis, and thinking critically.
  • What is the time commitment for a Net Impact UCLA member?
    There will be weekly 2 hour meetings to brainstorm ideas and potential solutions for projects. Additionally, project teams might have to meet outside of meeting times to complete the case assignment.
